Dr. Don Thrush

Patient Testimonial:

In September of 2010, I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Dr. Don Thrush and the team at Optimum Performance Centre.  Since then, I have become a regular patient of Dr. Thrush, receiving chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy in his office.  The staff at Optimum Performance always demonstrates professionalism, and the friendly atmosphere makes every visit an enjoyable experience.

As a competitive athlete in Skeleton racing as well as firefighter competition, I am constantly training and pushing my body to increase my performance.  Last year as I prepared to compete in two Skeleton races, Dr. Thrush helped my performance and recovery as I trained for the race.  His expertise and treatments were a key factor in my ability to perform at my best, and allowed me to place top 3 in both of my races.

This year, I - along with two other climbers representing the Heart and Stroke Foundation - will attempt to climb Mt. Everest.  At 29,035 feet above sea level, it is the highest point in the world.  The training required to prepare for this expedition is tasking both mentally and physically.  I am honored and privileged to have Dr. Thrush become a sponsor of the climb and part of our team.  Dr. Thrush is an invaluable asset to our team and we are happy with his involvement.

Our sincere gratitude and appreciation is extended to Dr. Thrush and the Optimum Performance team.

Patient Testimonial:

It is with pleasure that I provide the following testimonial to the superb chiropractic services of Dr. Don Thrush and the Optimum Performance Centre Staff.

In 1988 my car was rear-ended by three vehicles.  I received severe whiplash to the extent that the doctor I visited that day thought I had broken my neck.  For the next 10 years I visited various chiropractors as I suffered from numbness in my arms, headaches, chest pains, neck pains and poor balance.  None of these chiropractors took x-rays.  They would adjust my neck and spine. I continued to have problems and had become chronically depressed.

In 1998 I visited a chiropractor who x-rayed my spine and adjusted the C1 area which significantly helped the headaches but I still had to endure adjustments every two days.

In 2002 I moved to Red Dear and visited Dr. Don who x-rayed my spine and began treating me, once again with frequent visits in order to keep me comfortable.  Gradually, he introduced me to an adjustment method that was painless and that restored my equilibrium.  At the same time I received trigger-point massage to alleviate the muscle memory of the accident.  My visits were decreasing and my symptoms were considerably reduced to such an extent that I was visiting only once a month!

Last year, I was rear-ended again and I immediately went to see Dr. Don.  My visits initially were every two days but within a couple of weeks I was seeing him less frequently without major residual problems.

Words cannot express my gratitude to Dr. Don for his expertise in adjusting my spine and keeping me on an even keel.

Rodney's trigger point massages prevented prolonged discomfort and helped with the adjustments tremendously.  Through the past eight years that I have visited Dr. Don, his recommendations and adjustments have provided relief and kept me from suffering further affects of these major assaults to my spine and surrounding  muscles.

Dr. Don and his staff have been courteous and helpful  in all aspects of my recovery.

Thank you for providing the best care possible!

Sandra, 2010
